# When to share what

> A simple decision guide: personal agent, team agent, Use only, template, locked template — or a skill.

Value compounds when agents stop being personal and start being shared. Use this table to pick the right way:

| Choose                 | When                                                                                                         | Details                                                                                  |
| ---------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| 🧍 **Personal agent**  | You're experimenting, the workflow only serves you, or it works with personal data (your inbox, your notes). | Stays private in your [personal space](/share/team-spaces).                              |
| 👥 **Team agent**      | The whole team profits — everyone should see, run, and edit it.                                              | Lives in a [team space](/share/team-spaces), on team credentials and team budget.        |
| 💬 **Use only**        | Others should chat with this agent, but you stay the owner and keep editing it.                              | Invite people from **Share** — they can chat, not edit. See [Use only](/share/use-only). |
| 📋 **Template**        | Others should clone a proven workflow and adapt it to their context.                                         | [Open template](/share/templates) — fully editable clones.                               |
| 🔒 **Locked template** | Many people must run the **identical** process.                                                              | [Locked template](/share/locked-templates) — owner updates reach every clone.            |
| 🧩 **Skill**           | A standard or definition that 2+ agents should follow.                                                       | [Skill](/scale/skills) — write it once; personal, team, or org-wide.                     |
